Buy new & reconditioned material

Manufactured to the catalogue sizes from ISI-marked pipe, or sound used stock that has been inspected, straightened and repainted. Often the right answer is some of each.

New manufacture

Made in our own production to the sizes and weights in the catalogue. Standards and ledgers from ISI-marked 1.5 inch, 50 mm OD pipe; jacks on 28, 30 or 32 mm stems with 152 mm plates; plate built from 2–3 mm sheet on angle frame, welded or riveted as you prefer. Finished in Oxford blue enamel.

  • Made to the size you ask for, not the nearest one in stock.
  • Heads to order — beam, U, angle, flat or regular.
  • Consistent weights, so your take-off and your loading plan hold.

Reconditioned & used

Material that has come back off hire or been bought in from finished projects, then sorted: bent members out, cups and blades checked, threads cleaned, and the sound stock repainted. It behaves like the new item on site at a materially lower cost per tonne.

  • Graded honestly — we will tell you what it has been through.
  • Ideal for items that get consumed rather than kept: plate, planks, tube.
  • Available in lots, so a whole floor can be kitted out at once.

Buying well

Spend where it earns the money back

The items that stay in your fleet for years — standards, ledgers, jacks, props — are worth buying new, because you will re-erect them hundreds of times and the cost per cycle is tiny. The items that get cut, drilled, dropped and left behind are worth buying used, because their life on your site is measured in months either way.

We will say which is which for your job, even when it means a smaller invoice. A contractor who over-bought once does not come back, and repeat business is the whole business.

  • Bulk and fleet orders for contractors and hire companies.
  • Ex-yard or delivered to your site address, loaded against a checked list.
  • Trade-in considered — we buy used material too, so it can come off the price.

Send the list. We will price it new, used, and both.

A bill of quantities, a photo of the drawing, or the slab area and floor count — whatever you have is enough to start.
